The Story Behind SafeMind Living

SafeMind Living was founded by Kristi Anderson, a survivor of a random violent attack. She turned her experience into a mission to help others feel safer by living more aware and making smart choices in everyday living.

Through practical guidance and tools, SafeMind Living focuses on everyday awareness, not fear, and supports anyone who is ready to live smarter and safer.

“In 1998, I survived a random violent crime when a serial attacker hid inside my apartment and brutally attacked me when I returned from walking my dog. Surviving that night launched a 25+year journey of rebuilding feeling safe, raising three children, navigating trauma, and learning how to protect myself in a world that no longer felt predictable.

After my own experience, I realized that most people don’t know how to prepare for danger. I created SafeMind Living to change that. By teaching smart, simple safety habits that help women, students, and families feel aware, confident, and safer.

SafeMind Living teaches making proactive choices and using practical tools that make daily life safer, from college campuses to travel to home routines.”
